It seems like everyone has their own blog these days - television, radio, newspapers and everyday people (now) like myself. I was tired of not having my own "blog," so here I am - a dreamer, a wanderer and a speaker of words.
I have always wanted my own little spot, someplace to call my own. Other than my house, my car and a grave plot, I really don't own much. Well, the bank has the titles to the house and car so I guess that just leaves me with the plot. Garden of the 23 Psalms and near the lake. Too bad it's only 5 x 10. Hopefully the blog, my little space in the seemingly endless Internet universe, will help me to feel I own a little piece of something.
makemyskincrawl - or as you have probably figured out, Make My Skin Crawl, will be devoted to everyday things that do just that. Unfair, Unjust, Inhumane, Greed, Envy, Politics, Family, Work, Neighbors, Crime...you name it.
So many of us do nothing, say nothing in an almost robotic world. We stand by and do nothing because we feel nothing can be done. Everything and everyone is a system that cannot be dismantled, that cannot be corrected. How many times do we say, "Hey, this just ain't right?" and then continue on with what we were doing. Casually mentioning it at the next day's lunch at work seems to be about as far as it gets.
